19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden title for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a former number one, has experienced a challenging season, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in particular - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with long-term trainer Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought competitive victory over challenger Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface after spring of the previous year.
Victory also means Medvedev has achieved twenty-one titles at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my children at once, so to secure a title is really nice," said world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my second daughter Victoria, because the first title I won when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, featuring in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching strategy and recurring reactions on the tennis court had led commentators to question if his capacity to compete at the highest level was concluded.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and perform positively, reinforced by an improved serve.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five points to go ahead.
Both players traded service breaks in the following set before Moutet, striving for his maiden professional title, seized the initiative to push for a third set.
Moutet saved four early-game chances in a competitive deciding set before the champion won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the win with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
